Preparation of TiAl-based Alloys by High-energy Ball-milling and Hot-pressing Sintering

  • TiAl-based alloys were prepared by high-energy ball-milling and hot-pressing sintering.With the milling time increasing,the densities of the alloys became higher in the same process of hot-pressing sintering.The density of the TiAl alloy with near-full density obtained by hot-pressing sintering at 1 300 ℃ from the powder milled for 40 h is 3.971 g/cm3.Homogeneous microstructure of TiAl-based alloys with fine grains is obtained.
