Abstract
The wear properties and the wear mechanism of detonation-gun sprayed Al2O3-20%TiO2 coating rubbed against the carbon-graphite impregnated resin in the dry sliding friction were mainly discussed. And then the wear properties of Al2O3-20%TiO2 coating were compared with that of Al2O3-40%TiO2 coating. The results indicate that the wear rate of the ceramic coatings decreased firstly and then increased with the prolongation of friction time, the wear resistance of the Al2O3-20%TiO2 coating was better than that of the Al2O3-40%TiO2 coating in the same condition. The wear rates of the Al2O3-20%TiO2 coating increased with the increase of load and sliding velocity, and the wear rate increased rapidly when the load was above 30 N.The wear mechanism was adhesive wear.
