    Research Progress for Special Rolling Technology of Magnesium Alloy Sheet

    • The key technological bottlenecks and root causes for the development of the magnesium alloy sheet are analyzed. The fundamental principle, characteristics and applications of several special rolling technologies of magnesium alloy sheet, including equal channel angular rolling (ECAR), differential speed rolling, accumulative roll-bonding (ARB), repeated unidirectional bending (RUB) are well reviewed and summarized. It is point that shear deformation plays a pivotal role in magnesium alloy sheet forming process and one of the most effective way to promote the development of the magnesium alloy sheet is to develop or use special rolling technology, because the grain is refined, twin crystal is controlled and the texture is adjusted during rolling process.
