    A Simplified Inverse Method for Interfacial Heat Transfer Coefficient between Casting and Mold

    • In order to easily and accurately obtain the interfacial heat transfer coefficient (IHTC)between the casting and the mold during solidification,a new simplified inverse method was proposed.A casting with simple shape was employed as benchmark.The different constants of IHTC were used to finite element simulate the temperature-time curves.The simulated curves were compared with those of the corresponding actual casting.When the former curve was close to the later one,the coefficient could be regarded as the equivalent IHTC at the interface between the casting and mold.The simulated results accored with the test results by using the obtained equivalent IHTC as the finite element simulated parameters of the actual impeller casting,and it was proved that the method was reliable and accurate.
