Eeffect of Wear on High Speed Milling Quench Steels with TiAlN Coated Tools

Abstract
The high speed milling Cr12MoV quench steels of 50 HRC and 60 HRC hardness were tested with TiAlN coated tools.The effects of milling ways,tool helix angles and lubricating on tool wear were studied.The results show that the typical failure way is flank wear.The helix angle of tool is the main effective factor when the material hardness is 50 HRC.The lubricating way is the main factor when the material hardness is 60 HRC.
