The development and the current situation of thin size and high strength steel plates for construction machinery were reviewed. The introduction and comparison of several domestic and oversea products of this kind of steel plates were presented. And its characteristics were introduced as a key point from strengthening mechanism, alloy composition and production process and so on. Finally, aiming at the difficulties in current production of thin size and high strength steel plates for construction machinery, the research hotspots and development trend in the future were put forward.
