Abstract
The relationship between percentage elongation after fracture and specimen size of two kinds of carbon steel plates in different thicknesses was investigated in tensile tests. The results show that the relationship between percentage elongation after fracture and specimen size was in accordance with Oliver formula. The Oliver expressions of two steel plates were obtained by linear fitting, and the rationality of the fitted expressions was certified by conversion of percentage elongation after fracture.
