    Effect of Twin Roll-casting on Microstructure and Performance of Hot Rolling Mg-5.45%Al-1.36%Si Magnesium Alloy Plate

    • Mg-5.45%Al-1.36%Si eutectic magnesium plate of 5 mm thick was produced successfully by the twin roll-casting technology.The effect of roll-casting Mg alloy plate microstructure on the microstructure and mechanical properties of the subsequent hot rolling Mg alloy plate was studied.The results show that the microstructure of the roll-casted Mg alloy plate was homogeneous and small dendrites.The tensile strength,degree of recrystallization and refinement increased with increasing the rolling reduction.
