Microstructure and Mechanical Properties of TP304H and 12Cr1MoV Dissimilar Steel Tube TLP Bonding Joint with Different Interlayers

    • Steel pipes of 12Cr1MoV and TP304H were joined by transient liquid phase(TLP) bonding process using different FeNiCrSiB amorphous alloys as fillers in argon atmosphere. The influence of diferent interlayers on the microstructure and mechanical properties of bonding joint was studied. The microstructure and element distribution of the joints were examined. The results show that the tensile strength at room temperature of the joint with FeNiCrSiB(A) and FeNiCrSiB(B) amorphous filler is equal to or greater than that of the substrate. The joint strength is unqualified when FeNiCrSiB(C) amorphous filler is used. The optimum process has been obtained as follows: bonding at 1 230℃ and 1 240℃ for 3 min under 4 MPa with FeNiCrSiB(B) and FeNiCrSiB(A) interlayer.
