    Preparation and Properties of A New-Style AgNiC Electrical Contact Material

    • The new-style AgNiC electrical contact material was fabricated by wet blending, die pressing, sintering and repressing process.The microstructure was observed by scan electron microscopy and optical microscopy, and the properties were tested. The results show that the relative density of the new-type AgNiC could reach 98.2%, and the hardness and electrical conductivity was 903 MPa and 45.0%IACS respectively. The homogeneous microstructure and finer fracture dimple were obtained.The electrical life time of the new-type AgNiC was 10 145 cycle times which was much better than the traditional one.
