  • PA1010 composites filled with micrometer ZnO whiskers (ZnOw) were prepared by hot squeeze method.The nanohardness and elastic modulus of the composites were determined through nanoindentation on a triboindenter system.The sliding friction and wear behaviors were examined with a universal micro-tribometer in dry condition.The nanohardness and elastic modulus of the composites increased with the increasing content of ZnOw.The wear resistance of the composites was increased by about 60%,the friction property was maintained.The adhesion and melting were the main wear mechanism of pure PA1010,while wear mechanism of PA1010 composites shifted to fatigue rupture.
