Hot Corrosion Behaviors of 316L Stainless Steel in LiCl-3%Li2O Molten Salt
-
Abstract
The hot corrosion behaviors of 316L stainless steel have been studied by immersion experiments in molten LiCl-3%Li2O in air and vacuum at 700 ℃.The corrosion product of both in air and vacuum at 700 ℃ in molten LiCl-3%Li2O is LiCrO2.The weight loss in the two conditions increased with increasing time. The weight loss in vacuum condition is obviously less than that in air condition. The corrosion behavior was obviously affected by the partial pressure of oxygen.
