Progress in Research of Metal Melt Infiltration Composites
Metal melt infiltration (MMI) process is one of the main methods to synthesize composite materials.This paper introduces some new materials produced by this method,including copper impregnated-graphite,silicon carbide/aluminum,boron carbide/aluminum and titanium carbide/nickel aluminide composites,and especially focuses on the MMI process,mechanical properties and potential application of these new materials.
