Effect of Glass Lubrication on Thermal Contact Resistance between TA15 Titanium Alloy and K403 Ni Base Alloy

Abstract
In order to provide theoretical basis for the forging process of Ti alloy,an experimental study for examining thermal contact resistance(Rt )of TA15 (Ti alloy)/glass lubrication/K403 (Ni base alloy) joint was carried out by using steady heat flow method with a set of self-developed thermal contact resistance experimental system.The results show that glass lubrication had a great adiabatic characteristic.Rt was linear with the thickness of glass lubrication when the thickness of glass lubrication changed from 0.06 to 0.96 mm and the temperature of the joint was below 636℃.Rt of TA15/glass lubrication/K403 decreased with increasing pressure and temperature.
