Abstract

The mechanical properties of Li2O·2SiO glass-ceramic used for computer disk were examined and the testing results were statistically analyzed.The Weibull distribution of the flexure strength,flexure elasticity modulus and Vickers hardness of the glass-ceramic indicates that this glass-ceramic has high dependability and is a potential advanced material for computer disk substrate.
