Influence of Twisting and Weave Process on the Electro-thermal Radiant Property of PAN-based Carbon Fiber Electric Heating Element

  • The electro-thermal feature of PAN-based carbon fiber and its electric heating element on different weave process had been tested and the electro-thermal radiant mechanism had been analyzed.The results show that the weave process have great influence on the power-temperature property,resistance-temperature property and thermal inertia of carbon fiber (felt) and its electric heating element;With multi-compound yarn process,the electro-thermal feature can be improved,its thermal inertia can be decreased,and the power density of carbon fiber can also be decreased.With the help of the weave process and electro-thermal radiant properties,the temperature of the PAN-based carbon fiber (felt) can be adjusted by itself and the temperature sensibility of carbon electro-thermal materials can be improved.
