Quantitative Analysis of Evaluation Indices for Engineering Materials Based on Accumulative Non-correlation Degree

Abstract
The data information obtained from evaluation indices of engineering materials might overlap and thus induce the distortion of evaluation results. The conception of non-correlation degree of evaluation indices is put forward, and the accumulative non-correlation degree is regarded as the criterion of quantitative index selection.Thirteen candidate evaluation indices of five kinds of hot work die materials for aluminum alloy extruding processing were quantitatively analyzed according to the criterion mentioned above, and the five candidate materials were comprehensively evaluated with the technique for order preference by similarity to ideal solution(TOPSIS) according to the index system after quantitative analysis. The results show that indices of elastic modulus and fracture toughness at room temperature and impact toughness at high temperature should be taken out and the data information could be expressed by the other ten kinds of indices, and the evaluation result according to the ten indices agreed with the practical application, indicating that the quantitative analysis evaluation indices of engineering materials based on accumulative non-correlation degree is reasonable and feasible.
