    Mechanical and Tribological Properties of Nanometer ZnO Filled Polyamide 1010

    • PA1010 composites filled with nanometer ZnO were prepared by hot squeeze method.The effects of content of nanometer ZnO on the tensile strength,hardness and elastic modulus of the composites were studied.It is found that small amount of nanometer ZnO reinforcements enhance the hardness and tensile strength,the excessive content of nanometer ZnO could result in the decrease of tensile strength of ZnO/PA1010 composites,because the distributing proportion of nanometer ZnO was decreased and lots of microcracks were formed in matrix.The best range is obtained with the composites containing 3.0%~5.0% nanometer ZnO,the friction coefficient of the composites is improved and the wear rates decreased by 30% at most with the increase of the content of ZnO.
