    Preparation of Nickel Boride Nanowires by Chemical Metathesis

    • In order to find a simple and easy preparation method of nickel boride nanowires,the chemical metathesis using NiCl2 and NaBH4 as reactants was used.The X-ray diffraction,transmission electron microscopy and X-ray photoelectron spectra were employed to analyze the reaction products.The results show that the reaction products were nickel boride nanowires composed of Ni3B and Ni4B3,which average diameter was 60 nm and length could reach 20 μm.The nickel boride nanowires size was inhomogeneous,there were agglomerantion in the reaction products.
