    The Diffusion Behavior of Nitrogen in H13 Steel

    • Specimens of H13 steel (4Cr5MoSiV1) were glow plasma nitrided at diferent temperature.The Microhardness of the nitrided layers was measured.The mass of non-nitrided and nitrided Specimens was also detected.The activation energy for nitriding is 131.48 kJ/mol for corresponding specimen on the basis of ξn=K0·e-Q/RTτ.The diffusion coefficient is 2.34×10-12 m2/s at 793 K by Fick′s first law.
