  • Surfacing process was conducted by shielded metal arc welding process on 45 steel substrate using electrodes CHR207,CHR227,CHR237 under the same welding conditions.The analyses on microstructure of deposited metals were made,and the effect of alloy elements on the microstructure of deposited metal was discussed.The results show the microstructure of the deposited layers depended on the kind of electrode used as well as the type,performance and distribution of hardening particles.The alloy elements such as Mo,V have distinct effect on the deposited metal grain refinement.
