    Melting Process of High-Performance Hot Work Die Steel 1.2344EFS

    • This paper studied the effect of different melting process on purity and impact toughness of steel 1.2344EFS, and made a brief introduction of the technical advantage of UHP deoxydation process. Results show that for steel 1.2344EFS, with UHP+LF+VD melting process,O content can be controlled below 15 mg/kg,P content was reduced from 0.020% to lower than 0.010%,S content was reduced from 0.015% to lower than 0.003%, hence increased steel purity and impact toughness.
