    Distribution of Nano-particles in Nano-Al2O3/Ni Composite Coatings Prepared by Electrophoretic-electrochemical Deposition

    • nano-Al2O3/Ni composite coatings were prepared by electrophoretic-electrochemical deposition method.The distribution of Al2O3 nano-particles in the coatings was studied by means of SEM and its attached EDS.The influence of parameters such as particle concentration in electrophoretic bath,voltage and time of electrophoretic deposition and current density of electrodeposition on the particles distribution uniformity was investigated using the orthogonal test.The results show that the particle concentration in electrophoretic bath and current density of electrodeposition were the main influence factors on the particles distribution uniformity of the nano-composite coatings.And voltage and time of electrophoretic deposition were the minor factors.When the particles concentration was 8 g·L-1 and the current density of eletrodepsotion was 0.5 A·dm-2,Al2O3 nano-particles dispersed uniformly in the prepared nano-composite coatings.
