Abstract
The melting procedure of a new type of nickel base alloy powders(NiCrWRE) being deposited on metal work piece surface in a non-vacuum stove without protective gas in 1 250 ℃ high temperature was studied. The microstructure,anti-wear property and Vickers hardness distribution of the coating were tested. The results show that small hard particles in shape of stick, block and fine grains uniformly distributed in the alloy coating and thus provided good anti-wear condition for alloy coating after alloy powders and base steel were metallurgically bonded. The wear loss of NiCrWRE melted coating is only 1/8 of that of 1Cr18Ni12Mo2Ti.The worn surface is neat, smooth and only has a few shallow furrows without plastical deformation.
