Preparation and Tribological Properties of Composite Nanoparticles as Additive in Lubricating Oil

Abstract
Al2O3,SiO2,MgO nanoparticles were prepared by ultrasound-mechanical method and steadily dispersed in base oil by chemical modification.The worn steel surface and its constitutes were respectively analyzed by SEM and EDS.The lubricating mechanism of composite nanoparticle lubricant additives was discussed.The composite nanoparticles are spherical-shaped and have a mean diameter about 58 nm.The composite nanoparticles as additive in lubricating oil have execellent anti-wear,friction reduction and repairing performance.
