Influence of SS411NC Fungicide on Corrosion Behavior of Q235 Steel in Circulating Cooling Water

  • The corrosion behavior of Q235 steel was investigated in circulating cooling water simulation solutions with different contents of SS411NS fungicide by electrochemical measurement, scanning electron microscopy (SEM) observation, energy dispersive spectrum (EDS) analysis, immersion testing and weight loss method. The results show that the corrosion degree of Q235 steel in the circulating cooling water added the SS411NS fungicide was moderate corrosion. The SS411NS fungicide can inhibit corrosion of Q235 steel. And the corrosion rate of Q235 steel first fell and then rose when the content of the SS411NC fungicide increased. The minimum value of the corrosion rate was given when the content was 90 mg·L-1.The corrosion product of Q235 steel consisted of iron oxides and trace amounts of iron sulfide.
