Effects of Additive Compounds on Tribological Properties of High Velocity Arc Sprayed Iron Aluminum Coatings

    • Iron aluminum cored wires used to achieve iron aluminum coatings by adding powders, combined with high velocity arc spraying(HVAS) technology.Wear experiments were performed at a THT07-135 high temperature experiment machine.Wear scar image and composite analyses were done with SEM.Coatings with addition of reinforcements had better mechanical properties;Coatings that added Cr3C2 compounds owe excellent room temperature wear resistance properties,Coatings with addition of elements Cr and Ni increased their wear resistance properties a little;High temperature tribological properties of coatings with addition of WC and Cr3C2 increased with the rising of temperature under high temperature conditions.
