    Effect of Si Content on Microstructure and Damping Property of Fe-6Al Besed Alloy

    • Five kinds of Fe-6Al alloys with different Si contents were experimentally made.The internal friction and microstructure of the alloys under water quenched conditions were investigated.An internal friction peak was observed in the present alloys.The internal friction peak reach the highest value when the Si content increased to 0.5%,which is found to be directly attributed to the proper crystal grain from the aluminium alloy matrix.
