    Microstructure and Tribological Property of Laser Cladding Ni-Cr-Si Composite Coatings on Titanium Alloy

    • Laser cladding of Ni-Cr-Si composite coatings were prepared on Ti-5621s alloy.Microstructure,microhardness,friction and wear properties of the coating were examined.The results show that main reinforcing particles of the composite coating are Ti5Si3 and Cr3Si,which dispersed in the β-Ti and γ-Ni solid solution.The microhardness of the coating increases prominently compared to that of the matrix.Because Ti5Si3 and Cr3Si have high hardness and strong covalent-dominated atomic bonds,the Ni-Cr-Si coating enhances the friction and wear properties of Ti-5621s alloy greatly.
