    Sound Insulation Property of Aluminum Foam with Composite Structure

    • The sound insulation property of aluminum foam(Al-foam) with composite structure was studied using a self-made equipment and sound detector.The sound insulation property of Al-foam with composite structure was desirable in the range of sound frequency and sensitive to frequency,with the optimal value of noise damping efficiency 40% in the band of 500-100 Hz.The effect of compounding approaches on sound insulation property was not very obvious but changed though with the cell structure.The sound insulation property of Al-foam with cell size of 1.0 mm and porosity of 60% was the best.
