Morphology and Mechanical Properties of Rapid Prototyping Metal Copper Parts by Friction Jet Electrodeposition
-
Abstract
Adding hard particles friction device in jet electrodeposition process, metal copper parts were obtained by rapid prototyping. The surface morphology was observed by optical microscopy. Its hardness was tested by micro hardness tester. Its compressive strength and tensile strength were measured by universal testing machine. The results show that the parts obtained by the method had good shape, smooth surface and small grains. The hardness distribution was uniform and the average value was 353.28 HV. The compressive strength was 675 MPa. Tensile strength and yield strength in x direction were 390 and 372 MPa, while those in z direction were reduced, but still better than cold-rolled copper for industry.
