  • The problems related to the measurement and control of residual stress in the production of spiral sub-merged arc welding pipe were analyzed based on tests.It was shown that the cut opening space length varied with the severing location,and the normal hydrostatical test mainly brought about the redistribution and decrease of the residual stress.It is suggested that the severing location should be specified,and the axial and radial displacement should be limited in the supplementary specification.
