Contrastive Analysis of Seamless Pipes for Low-Temperature Service in GB Standard of PRC and ASTM Standard of USA

    • Chemical composition, longitudinal tensile properties and impact energy of seamless pipes for low-temperature service in GB/ASTM are mainly contrastively analyzed. The new ferritic seamless pipe should be strongly researched for lower temperature service, because the standard for low-temperature down to -196 ℃ seamless pipes in GB has not be formed, which is only down to -100 ℃ at present. On the other hand, corresponding standards for low-temperature seamless pipes of ASTM used in China for design should be localized. In order to improve the recognition, it is proposed that low-temperature seamless pipes in GB should be applied into ASTM.
