    Influence Factors on Formation of Zirconia under Hydrothermal Conditions

    • ZrO2 powders were prepared from zirconium (IV) nitrate under different hydrothermal conditions.The influence of fill factor,pH value and precursor concentration on the hydrothermal reactions was studied.XRD and TEM were used to characterize the prepared powders.The results showed that fill factor had little influence on the size and proportion of m-ZrO2 (Xm).With the increace of precursor concentration,Xm remained constant and the crystalline size increased slowly.The pH value of hydrothermal precursor had great influence on Xm,crystalline size,shape and aggregating condition.
