Preparation of Porous Metal Nickel Used for Current Collector with Jet Electrodeposition and Electrochemical Capacitor Properties

    • Porous metal nickel was prepared by jet electrodeposition technology and then was characterized by X-ray diffractermeter and scaning elecrtron microscopy. Use porous metal nickel as electrochemical capacitor current collector and nano-NiO as electroactive material to fit electrochemical capacitor. Electrochemical properties were tested by cyclic voltammetry curve, constant-current charge and discharge, A.C. impedance, cycle life and so on. The results show that the porous metal nickel prepared by the method had higher purity, dendritic crystal formed three-dimensional communicating pores, and the pores had uniform distribution and larger specific surface area. The electrochemical capacitor had better electrochemical capacitor property and electrochemical stability. The capacitance of the first discharge capacitor was 589.2 F·g-1 when current density was 10 mA·cm-2, and the discharge capacitor reduced by 1.7% only after constant-current charge and discharge for 200 cycles.
