Surface Peeling Reason of Hot-Rolled 06Cr17Ni5N Austenitic Stainless Steel Plate

    • The surface peeling reason of the hot-rolled 06Cr17Ni5N austenitic stainless steel plate during rolling process was analyzed through macro-morphology observation, metallographic analysis and scanning electronic microscopy. The results show that the surface treatment of continuous casting slab was not complete, which led to the oxide scale and rough surface. And the main reason for the peeling was that the local plate could not meet depth-to-width ratio requirements during rolling.
