    Phase Diagram Calculation and Experimental Research on Iron Alloys Containing 1.3%Al

    • Iron alloys containing 1.3%Al with different carbon content were prepared by vacuum-melting.SEM was used to analyze the homogeneity of the samples for the measurement of critical temperature.DSC technology was used to measure the phase transformation temperatures Ac1 and Ac3 of these samples.The vertical section phase diagram of Fe-Al-C system containing 1.3%Al was calculated using Thermo-Calc software and A1 and A3 values were obtained.The results show that differences exist between the calculated results and the experimental ones,which indicates that the thermodynamic parameters of the Fe-Al-C system need further optimized.The DSC results can provide experimental information for the optimization of thermodynamic database in Thermo-Calc software.
