    Microstructure and Properties of Electrical Steel Strip Fabricated by Thin Slab CCDR in Laboratory

    • Thin slab continuous casting and direct rolling (CCDR) were performed to two kinds of electrical steels in laboratory.Microstructure and segredation of the cast slab,microstructure of the hot rolled strip,inhibitors morphology and textures for Fe-3.2%Si oriented silicon steel were studied.CCT curves and resistance to deformation model for Fe-1.6%Si non-oriented silicon steel were established by simulation experimental.The results show for Fe-3.2%Si oriented silicon steel,the ratio of equiaxial grains was about 35% and index of composition segredation was 0.9-1.1.Asymmetric 3 kinds of microstructure were found along the height of the strip.The Goss texture 110〈001〉 was found on the subsurface of the strip.The components of the texture were the same but the intensity was less than that of the strip fabricated by conventional technology.The mathematical model of resistance to deformation during ferrite,austenite and ferrite-austenite dual phase zone was established for Fe-1.6%Si non-oriented silicon steel.
