Stamping Forming Performance of Nickel Plated Steel Strip

  • Stamping forming was done on nickel plated steel strip by an RG2000 computer controlled electronic all-purpose equipment.The stamping forming performance of nickel plated steel strip under different blank holder forces was studied.The punch load of nickel plated steel strip and steel strip was compared,and the surface morphology of inside wall of circular cups with different stamping depths was analyzed.The results show that the stamping forming performance of nickel plated steel strip was different under different blank holaler force.Nickel plated steel strips forming needed higher force than the steel strip.Cracks in inside wall of deep drawn cup began to appear when stamping depth was 12 mm,and the quantity increased with the increasing of stamping depth.Nickel coating was easier to crack than the steel strip.
