Effects of Grinding Parameter on Grinding Force for Carbon Fiber Reinforced Plastics Composite Used for Aviation

  • Three factors three levels orthogonal experiment method was used to research the influences of workpiece feeding speed, grinding wheel linear velocity and grinding depth on grinding forces for carbon fiber reinforced plastics. Empirical formulas of grinding forces for ceramic diamond grinding wheel were got by multiple linear regression method. Results show the grinding depth had the greatest influence on tangential and normal grinding force, followed by the grinding wheel linear velocity, and the effect of workpiece feeding speed was slightly. The fitted data of grinding force by the empirical formulas agreed well with the test result.
