Effects of Ni and Cr on Resistance to High-Temperature Oxidation property of Mo2FeB2 Based Cermets
-
Abstract
Mo2FeB2 based cermets with different contents of Ni and Cr were prepared by vacuum liquid phase sintering technology. The composition and structure of cermets were analyzed by means of X-ray diffracomer and scanning electron microscopy. The chemical composition of bonding phase and hard phase were analyzed by energy disperse spectroscopy. The variation of constant temperature oxidation weight gain with time was studied at 750 ℃. The results show that the oxidation kinetics of the Mo2FeB2 based cermets obeyed the parabola rule. The oxidation weight gain increased gradually and the high-temperature oxidation resistance worsened when the content of Ni increased from 6wt% to 10wt%. After adding Cr to cermets, the oxidation weight gain was unobvious and high-temperature oxidation resistance raised a little with increase of the content of Cr.
