Microstructure and Properties of 102/T91 Dissimilar Steel Tube Joint by TLP Bonding with Two-step Heating Temperature Process

    • 102/T91 dissimilar steel tubes were joined by transient liquid-phase (TLP) bonding process of two-step heating temperature using FeNiCrSiB amorphous alloy as filler in argon atmosphere.Microstructure and mechanical properties of the joint was tested at room temperature. The results showed that 102/T91 joint with similar compositions to the parent metal, curved interface and higher tensile strength than the base metal could be gained under following conditions of heating at 1 260 ℃ for 1 min, freezing at 1 230 ℃ for 4 min with the pressure of 6 MPa.
