    Simulation of Formation of Nickel Coated Steel Sheet Based on Dynamic Explicit Method

    • The simulation of the deep-drawing of nickel coated steel sheet based on solid element and dynamic explicit method was performed.The master surface-slave surface searching algorithms were used between sheet and tools and the frictional forces were subject to Coublomb′s law.The interface conjunction used Contact-Tied-Surface To-Surface model and interfacial bond strength was defined.The results of the simulation illustrated that the steel sheet and the nickel coating do not delaminate in their interface.The stress-strain field and the material flow of the substrate and coating are similar.However the field of the nickel coating is more complicated than that of the steel sheet,which showed that the stress-strain distributesd non-homogeneously at some places.Through changing the friction coefficient between the sheet and the dies,the simulation results show that the forming performance of the sheet is improved if the friction coefficient was decreased.
