Influences of Intermediate Annealing on Tensile Properties and Microstructure of 1A80 Aluminum Foils
-
Abstract
1A80 aluminum foils were prepared by cold rolling of aluminum sheets treated by intermediate annealing in different processes. The tensile properties, microstructure and texture of the material of aluminum were studied by tensile testing, optical microscopy and X-ray diffraction. Results show that the influences of intermediate annealing process on tensile properties and microstructure of the aluminum sheets and aluminum foils were obvious. The intermediate annealing at a proper temperature (250 ℃) can enhance the tensile strength and elongation of the material and improve its machinability. It was also was helpful to maintain the fiber morphology and reduce the grain size of the cold rolled material, and had no influence on main texture of aluminum foils after final annealing. When the intermediate annealing temperature was above 300 ℃, the recrystallization emerged in the material, which contributed to the decline of tensile properties of aluminum foils.
