    Analysis of Pore Structure for Ultra-light Porous Metals by X-ray Tomography

    • X-ray tomography has been used to obtain the arbitrary shape images of ultra-light porous Al alloy.By analyzing the images,the pore structure of ultra-light porous Al alloy can be described,and porosity ratio of the reconstructed section plane can be calculated.Experiments indicate that,compared with the traditional analysis methods by cutting the test sample,the new analysis methods are able to get the same analysis result as the traditional one without any contact and damage of the test sample and with increased efficiency.
