Texture Evolution of 50W600 Non-oriented Silicon Steel during Rolling and Annealing Process

    • The texture evolution of 50W600 non-oriented silicon steel in hot rolling, cold rolling and annealing process was investigated by electron back-scatter diffraction (EBSD) technology. Results show that the hot rolled plate texture types and intensities along thickness direction were different because of the different stress fields and temperature fields. The major texture types in the surface of hot rolled plate were copper, brass and Gauss texture. The texture was composed of α fibre texture and weaker Gauss texture in 1/4 layer. And the texture in the center layer was almost α fibre texture. Compared with hot rolled plate, the texture type difference among layers of cold rolled plate was smaller. They were all typical rolling texture (α fibre texture and γ fiber texture). In each layer of annealed plate, the γ fiber texture was enhanced, the α fibre texture weakened and the rotate cube texture disappeared basically.
