Composition and Microstructure of Restoration Layer on Friction Surface

The PBC technology is a new-fashioned restoration technology of friction surface,and its essential is restoring the friction surface and enhancing the performance of friction-reducing and anti-wear of the friction surface by putting PBC restoration agent into lubricating oil.The surface restoration layer of a gear wheel,which had run in lubricating oil with PBC restoration agent was analyzed using TEM,SEM,XPS,AES and Raman;and the mechanism of reducing friction of the restoration agent was studied.The results showed that the restoration layer consisted of diamond-like carbon film (DLC film) and Si-O glass film.
