Preparation of Agglomerated Al2O3/TiO2 Nanocrystalline Powders for Plasma Spraying

Agglomerated Al2O3/TiO2 nanocrystalline powders formed via spray-drying were sintered in high temperature electric furnace with three sintering procedures.Free holding density and flowability were measured.X-ray diffraction(XRD) was used to analyze phase constituent.Scanning electron microscopy(SEM) was used to examine the morphology.The experiments of plasma spraying were tried on.It is showed that the density and bonding strength of the agglomerated nanocrystalline powders derived from two-step sintering are high,and they are suitable for plasma spraying to obtain nanostructured coating of good quality.
