Surface Modification of Carbon Nanotubes and Their Application

  • Carbon nanotubes (CNTs) are considered as one of the ideal reinforcements for nano-composites due to their peculiar structures and superior properties.Because surface modification of CNTs can improve their surface activity,dispersion ability,and the compatibility between CNTs and base matrix,the surface modification of CNTs are one of hotspot about CNTs investigation.The properties and modified methods of CNTs are introduced,the progresses of the modification of CNTs are reviewed and its application is analyzed.
