Effect of Ultrasonic Treatment on Hot Compression Deformation Behavior of 7050 Cast Aluminum Alloy
-
Abstract
The influence of ultrasonic treatment on the hot compression deformation behavior of as-cast and homogenized 7050 aluminum alloy was investigated.High temperature compression simulated test was carried out in the temperature range of 300-450 ℃ and strain rate of 2.77×10-4-2.77×10-2 s-1 to investigated the plastic deformation behavior of the ultrasonic cast 7050 alloy and conventional cast 7050 alloy after homogenizing. The results show that the grain size of the ultrasonic cast aluminum alloy was finer than that of the conventional aluminum alloy under the same deformation condition, and the flow stress of the ultrasonic cast alloy was obviously small. The hot deformation activation energy of the alloy after ultrasonic casting was 136 kJ·mol-1,which was smaller than that after conventional cast 155 kJ·mol-1,and the former was easier to deform.
